I work for Lincolnshire Police as a Community Safety Officer and we too had supplies of Angel Bears for some of our Community projects involving children. Can I just say if anyone has completed Angel Bears, I would be more than happy to accept at Police Headquarters and put them to really good uses.

Hi, I also sent a parcel of bears in February and had it returned. It is a shame if the charity is not running any more as I enjoyed making the bears and felt it was helping in some way. I suppose it was a really massive undertaking for a small charity to manage though. Doe’s anyone have any information about what happened to them?

hiya, thanks for your comment. It appears that something may of happened and this charity is no longer running? I am not sure but the website http://www.angelbear.org.uk/ does not appear to exist anymore. I will update this post to reflect this. Kind regards.

Hi, thanks for your comment. The original pattern for the Angel Bear is not my creation. I’m afraid the loop stitch ears technique got me at first. So i contacted the person behind the charity about it. I am merely passing on inspiration for the lovely charity. Hi! I am an expirianced knitter but I feel you need to give instructions of how to do the loop stitch, for anyone who is just starting out. also feel the loops would be unsafe for tiny fingers as they can get caught in them.but I cngratulate you on such a worthy cause, I don’t mean to be negative.Well done on a great idea

Hiya, yes.. Loop stitch is where you literally loop the yarn over your left index finger before you make your regular knit stitch. That is basically it. If you ‘google’ loop stitxh, or search how to loop stitch on you tube. That will probably be more helpful than a written explination. Thanka for your comment and question. X
